Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Cruse as General Manager beginning with the upcoming 2020 season. Sarah, who previously served as General Manager at the lodge, will return after a successful term leading Dunton Hot Springs, a Relais & Châteaux property based in Dolores, Colorado.
Sarah has nearly 20 years of experience leading luxury experiential lodges, including a decade at the helm of Peninsula Hotels’ Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, California. Her passion for Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and commitment to sharing the best of Clayoquot Sound with guests will ensure the lodge continues to be recognized as a world class travel and adventure destination.
“Life takes you to unexpected places, but love brings you home,” said Sarah. “Being re-appointed as the GM at Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is like a dream come true for me, returning to the most spectacular place in the world, to work with a team and property that holds my heart. It’s good to be home.”
Joining Sarah is new assistant lodge manager Kate Hollick. Most recently Kate served as Assistant Lodge Manager of Baillie Lodge’s Longitude 131° in Yulara, Northern Territory, Australia. Kate is a seasoned luxury hospitality and experiential travel leader and will partner with Sarah in managing the day-to-day operations at the lodge.
