Little known and virtually untouched, Clayoquot Sound’s fiercely guarded secret fishing spots are accessible only by helicopter, offering keen anglers exclusive access to prime fishing locations. The hook of this adventure are specialty local guides Mike Archer and Peter Semehen, who have spent years reading these alpine waters – their knowledge of where large trout hold, and when, is the kind that can’t be learned from a map.
As a fisherman come artist, Mike’s passion for fishing extends to handcrafting bespoke bamboo rods and seasonally specific flies. For keen anglers, it’s fair to say a day spent in the remote back-country with Mike or Peter will become dinner party conversation for years to come.
