Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge offers packages based on a three night stay arriving Thursday and departing Sunday, a four night stay arriving Sunday and departing Thursday, or seven and ten-night stays arriving either Thursday or Sunday.

Clayoquot Classic

Stay seven nights and enjoy one complimentary night plus a bonus 60-minute relaxation massage.. A seven night stay offers the chance to encounter whales and bears in the wild, take a kayak or canoeing adventure, explore the heights by helicopter or venture out on horseback.

Essential information for reading prior to your stay.

  • Length of stay

    Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge offers packages based on a three night stay arriving Thursday and departing Sunday, a four night stay arriving Sunday and departing Thursday, or seven and ten-night stays arriving either Thursday or Sunday.

  • Maximum & minimum occupancy

    Per tent in existing bedding:

    Waterfront Deluxe: 4
    Waterfront Ensuite: 4
    Rainforest Deluxe: 4
    Rainforest Ensuite: 4
    Hillside Family: 8

    The Hillside Family Tent has a minimum occupancy of two adults and two children in the shoulder season and two adults and two youths in the peak season, regardless of age. All other tents have a minimum occupancy of two adults during peak season.

  • Check-in / Check-out times

    Check-in time is from 3.30pm. Check-out time is 12pm. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

  • Rates and inclusions

    Rates quoted are per person per night in Canadian Dollars (CAD) – please see below for relevant taxes and additional charges. A stay at the lodge includes all gourmet dining, a premium selection of wines, beers and spirits, signature guided experiences and one 60-minute relaxation massage per stay (adults and youths only).

  • Youth, child and single supplement rates

    Single Supplement Rate applies to tents occupied by one adult. Youth and child rates apply when staying in the same tent as an adult; extra tents will be charged at a minimum rate of two adults.

  • Environmental sustainability

    Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is dedicated to preserving the natural habitat of Clayoquot Sound which provides the setting for the magnificent experiences we offer. As such, an Environmental Sustainability surcharge of 3% is added to all bookings to help fund our leading local conservation efforts.

  • Service charge, taxes & fees

    In lieu of tipping during the 2022 season, please note a 10% Service Charge is applied to the pre-tax total bill for the benefit of all our resort staff. Federal GST is added at 5%.

  • Deposit policy

    A 50% deposit is required at time of booking.

  • Payment policy

    A deposit representing 50% of the total cost of booking including taxes and gratuities is due at time of reservation. The remaining balance is due 90-days prior to arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Settlement is also accepted by direct deposit; please advise Clayoquot Reservations once paid to ensure receipt.

     

  • Cancellation policy

    We do our best to accommodate guest requests under extraordinary circumstances, but due to our short season and remote location, we cannot make exceptions to our deposit and cancellation policies.

    As such, for cancellations outside of 90 days from arrival, a $500 per person cancellation fee is applied, with the remaining deposit refunded. Cancellations made within 90 days of arrival result in full forfeiture of the deposit paid.

    Refunds may not be granted in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight or weather disruptions. We very strongly recommend for peace of mind all guests purchase travel insurance.

  • Travelling well during a pandemic

    It’s wonderful to be able to travel again after a pause due to the pandemic and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to stay at Baillie Lodges.   • Child policy

    Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge welcomes children six years and over. Child rates apply to guests aged 6-12 years, while youth rates apply to guests aged 13-18 years old.

  • Special dietary needs

    As Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

How do I get there?

The easiest and quickest way to travel to the lodge is to fly to Vancouver in British Columbia followed by a scenic 45-minute seaplane flight directly to the lodge dock.
